Cold Brook Cafe
Cold Brook Café gives off an interesting vibe, and its not modern, if that’s your first guess. With knick-knacks essentially everywhere for sale, this place was different, right off the bat. Different is not always a bad thing though. With a full breakfast and lunch menu, this hybrid restaurant/café is a great stop for food. The coffee was definitely above average but nothing to write home about. They serve Richard Allen Coffee which is a local roaster, again “above” average. The café is in a beautiful old building where the original wood flooring and beams can bring you back a bit. This does seem to be a popular spot so give yourself some extra time, just in case.
Weirdly enough this was the only spot today with Wi-Fi! Bathrooms as well.
To the south is Scituate Reservoir, while relatively flat, there are more trails than one could count, and it’s Rhode Island, wrong state for mountains. Enjoy kayaking, wandering around, fishing, or just relaxing on one of the beaches.
Overall, I would rate Cold Brook Café a 4.4 out of 5
