Esselon Cafe

Stopped by Esselon in Hadley after another review in Amherst. This is such a cool area that I don’t really feel the need to give much advice. Esselon is very close to Northampton, so I would recommend going downtown and exploring the many shops and Thornes Marketplace (Which is an old-school shopping mall constructed fashionably in an old brick building).

Back to Esselon, what a gem of a café. The outdoor seating is amazing to where you feel like you’re in 1800’s Paris.  The coffee they serve and sell are all roasted within the café. You can get roughly ten single origins ranging from Sumatran to Kenyan, and pretty much everywhere that grows coffee…

I had the fortune of speaking with the owner as he explained a lot about the coffee business and the strict measures they go by at Esselon while roasting and serving their coffee. He also told me the many different types of tea they serve like Jade Cloud and Jasmine Pearl. (There’s an astounding 31 other options)

Overall, I would rate Esselon Café a 4.9 out of 5
