Moon Magick Cafe
Moon Magick is a unique café located in a very community-oriented town named Danielson, CT. Danielson is a great place to check out local goods and shops in the downtown area. As for the café, I was more than impressed with their list of over 150 flavored syrups. I’m not one to add additional taste to my beverage, but if you are, this is the spot to try something unique. I had, of course, my go to black coffee, which was pretty good but nothing extraordinary. The Lavender Lemonade was very refreshing, and I would strongly recommend it if you’re looking to cool down on a hot day. The seating was limited which gave a bit of a rushed feeling, as nobody was really “hanging around.” They do have shows there occasionally so this is a shop that is interactive with the scene in Danielson. If you’re looking for something on a cold day and are not feeling a coffee, I would recommend the Chai. It was on the sweeter side, but nonetheless, delicious. Moon Magick Cafe has Wi-Fi but no public restrooms, so it really isn’t set up for a longer visit.
Mashamoquet Brook State Park is right in town which offers a plethora of hiking trails, as well as a nice spot to go swimming. If you’re looking for something a bit more adventurous try Natchaug State Forest which sports some longer, but still rather mellow, trails for hiking. Have a kayak or canoe? Try out the Hampton Reservoir, with great views in every direction.
Overall, I would rate Moon Magick Café a 4.4 out of 5
