Carm’s Restuarant and Coffee Shop

If you’re looking for a great cup of coffee to start off your day, and only a coffee, this is not your place. However, if you’re looking for a superb diner that serves a great breakfast, Carm’s Restaurant and Coffee Shop would be an awesome start to your day. Remodeled from an old garage into a very 50’s style diner, this is your best option for breakfast and lunch until you get to the land of Stockbridge and Lee. There is nothing wrong with the coffee, don’t get me wrong, it’s drinkable and does the trick, but I was spoiled with great coffee today and regular diner coffee wasn’t up for the competition. Just a quick sidenote, the bread they have with breakfast is terrific, try the rye).

You are basically surrounded by state forests and parks. If you’re looking for a spot to hike, try the Walnut Hill Wildlife Management Area which includes the Keystone Arch Bridges.  Even take a stroll on the Appalachian Trail, which is a bit west of Carm’s, but worth the car ride to say you’ve been on the trail.

Overall, I would rate Carm’s Restaurant and Coffee Shop a 4.3 out of 5
