Minifactory
Even before arriving at Minifactory, you will notice what a great town Bristol, Vermont is. The second thing you may notice are the yellow seats that fill the café with a bright and vibrant atmosphere. Minifactory serves Brio coffee, which is one of my favorite roasters in this area. I had a medium roast named “new world mokka java,” it was a nice medium bodied coffee with an aftertaste of berry and chocolate. I got a BLT from the grab and go area and appreciated that for lunch later (it really was great). Along with the coffee and sandwich, I enjoyed an iced hibiscus tea, this was a nice choice and had a nice minty aftertaste to it (that was probably intentional). As mentioned before, Bristol has a very cute downtown area with a small town feeling to it and local shops lining both sides of main street. Minifactory also makes their own breads and a huge selection of jams and preserves. My only two complaints are that those yellow chairs are not very comfortable and there is only public Wi-Fi, which was too slow to function.
A few miles east of town, off route 116 in Rocky Dale, is where Bartlett Falls is. It’s a great swimming hole, as well as a place to enjoy nature and maybe take a nice hike. If you’re looking for a challenge, try climbing Mt. Ellen which is one of the mountains that’s part of Sugarbush Resort.
Overall, I would rate Minifactory a 4.3 out of 5
