Sophie’s Coffee House
To start with the most important part, coffee. Unlike other items on the menu, the coffee is a bit disappointing; they brew New England Coffee, which is fine for home, but when I go to a coffee house, I expect local coffee roasters or my favorite, a variety of single origin coffees. I ordered the “Sophies Breakfast” which included two eggs with cheese, bacon, and a bagel. I give them a bonus for serving a real sit down breakfast, although it is “different” for a café to serve a full breakfast.
The atmosphere is very nice inside. There are several dining tables and a small area in the corner that has a of couple small couches. Outside of Sophie’s, Brimfield is a charming small New England town that sports a gazebo on a well kept town common surrounded by buildings and houses from the early 1800’s. Enjoy a nice easy going hike at the state forest after a solid breakfast from Sophie’s.
Overall, I rank Sophie’s Coffee House a 4.1 out of 5
If they improve their coffee supplier it would go up to a 4.4!
