Mocha Joe’s Cafe

Just across the Vermont/Massachusetts line is a small city named Brattleboro. I’ve always thought of it as the “Welcome to Vermont” town.  Main street is great with plenty of small shops and a special vibe, including the folks playing music on the sidewalk.

Mocha Joe’s is tucked away seemingly halfway underground in what I believe was the basement of an old mill or general store.  They roast their own beans, local is always nice. There are several different single origin coffees for purchase, but you only have the choice of medium or dark at the counter.

Their wifi is public, which is great, also there is the classic “well used” couch present…check the pictures.

On the negative side, I was not impressed with the coffee, as the medium roast tasted more like a dark roast.  I also did not get the warm welcome that I usually get when entering a café.
