West Village Provisions
Upon parking out front I felt like I was back in Vermont again. This building has an old-fashioned charm with it being a general store as well as a café. Talk about two great things. From sweatshirts to water guns this is a great experience for anyone, but a must visit if you have kids. West Village Provisions serves New Harvest Coffee Roasters and I received the Steam Roller bold blend. It was a bit disappointing that a dark roast (with hints of chocolate and nutmeg) was the only option, but you can’t win them all. There isn’t a lot of space to sit making this more of an in and out kind of place, unless you’re spending time in the general store.
A couple miles to the east lies Mass Audubon’s Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary. I would highly suggest spending some time here and catching some views of Teal Pond; you can also take a kayak or canoe out for even better scenery. While there is hiking on the sanctuary there is also Vineyard Hill Reservation which has hiking trails as well.
Overall, I would rate West Village Provisions a 4.5 out of 5
