Cafe on the Common
If you’re looking for a nice place to grab coffee in the morning or even dinner in the evening, Café on the Common has you covered. Constructed from the old town’s post office, this café has some character (and if you find it lacking, there is a full bar to help out). The coffee is served in a french press which is a nice touch. There is free wifi and passably comfortable seating for spending extended time. I did miss out on the couch (it was occupied) which is always a huge plus for me when working.
There is plenty to do outdoors here. Check out Cook’s Canyon Wildlife Sanctuary or Barre Falls Dam which has an 18-hole frisbee golf course. The Quabbin Reservoir is also nearby which includes an endless amount of additional hiking trails and views.
Overall, I would rate Café on the Common 4.7 out of 5
